Mike's interests include law reform, campaigning on human rights and using legislation to secure social change.

Kathy McNeil
Kathy is a senior lecturer and coordinator of postgraduate studies in the Department of Adult and Continuing Education (DACE).
Treasurer
Bob Hay
Bob has many years of experience in the community learning and development field with a particular focus on widening participation, change management, and governance. He is currently Permanent Secretary at the Students Representative Council, University of Glasgow

Lynette Jordan
Lynette teaches and researches Community Development Practice in the Department of Adult and Continuing Education (DACE), at the University of Glasgow.
Esther Quinn.
Esther has long-term experience organising low paid workers. Currently works as a union educator.
Brenda Graham
Brenda currently supports social inclusion and poverty research activities at Caledonian University. She worked for the Active Learning Centre prior to joining the board.
Dr. Geraldine McDonald
Geraldine is an Honorary Research Fellow of the Dept. of Geographical and Earth Sciences. She has expertise in supporting civil society organisation, gender analysis and project management.
Helen Martin
Helen is a Community Development Teacher in the Department of Adult and Community Education, University of Glasgow.
Thanks for assistance with Chevening
The Active Learning Centre also wishes to thank all those councilors, members of parliament, NGO members, lawyers, community workers and volunteers who helped to make the Chevening Fellowship a success by providing talks, study visits and placements.
Voluntary work of friends and partners
The Active Learning Centre wishes to acknowledge the voluntary work of our friends and partners in various parts of the world. In particular we would like to mention Mrs. Hamideh Tavassoly who led the development work in Iran, the team in the Organisation for Social Justice in Ethiopia, the British Council, the members of the Law and Human Rights Commissions and the National Initiative for Civic Education in Malawi who gave their time to participate in the gender and rights inception workshop, the Scottish delegates Dawn Fyfe, Zoe Taylor and Joe Pearce who took part in the youth conference in Armenia, the Ethiopian trainers who ran the 14 training courses for 482 regional women representatives and all of the former women ministers and deputy ministers in the Scottish Executive from 1999-2007 who are assisting our research and our partners in the Delphe programme Ishita mukhopadhyay and Linda Kabwato.
